The herding instinct is strong in this one

I was looking for the cat this morning, and I yelled down the hall to Patrick to ask him if he'd seen the cat. Nope...no cat. Pretty soon, here comes the cat tearing down the hall into into the bedroom with Shala hot on his tail. She heard that I was looking for the cat and then herded said cat into the bedroom to me. Good Girl!! She got a treat for that one. The trouble is now, she keeps herding the cat to me looking for that treat! Poor cat can't get a moments sleep!

Chief Dances with Perch

My dad & I were fishing the Shriner's Buddy Crappie Tournament at Truman Lake last year. I was catching crappie. My dad kept catching "bait." He's now known as Chief Dances with Perch.

I sooooo can't wait for the ice to thaw off the lake! Fishing season is almost here!

Two Passed Out Pooches

Two Passed Out Pooches
Originally uploaded by heatherhoesly

I happened to look around to find out why the dogs were being so quiet, and I found out why...they were both passed out cold on their backs. It looked like they were both demanding tummy rubs - until I realized that they were both snoring!

Needless to say, as soon as I took the picture, they both realized that they were "being cute" and rolled over. Can't have both dogs being cute at the same time...noooooo...that's against dog union rule 1045.873 sub section 5a - two or more dogs in the same household cannot behave in a manner/manners that the human(s) deem to be "cute" at the same time.

Hmmmm...

I ended up using CSS in the HTML layout to force image sizes. The Photoshop app did crop it, but kept the image at the same size. *sigh* Eventually technology will catch up to what I want it to do.

Same cat...same smile...

New size! Let's see how this image looks.

Mental note...

When adding a picture to the blog from the iPhone, make sure to shrink the size of the image first. Adobe has a GREAT Photoshop app for iPhone that does this.

Ok...image post try number 2

The interface for BlogWriter leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to adding images. The "attachment" link is right below & close to the "Send" button. If you're not really, really careful you'll tap Send. This is a problem as you might end up sending a blank/incomplete post. You have to hit "attachment" first because there's no screen scrolling above the subject line (where the attach button is) so long text posts push that top area up too far to click the button. Editing is no good for an image post because the edit feature doesn't allow for attaching an image. I hope they fix this stuff in the next release. BTW...that's my cat, Anakin. He smiles in his sleep.

Now for an image post

I'm going to try to post an image using BlogWriter for iPhone.

Trying out an app

I'm trying out this blog app - BlogWriter - for my iPhone. I like it so far. Stright forward text posts work nicely.
